Behind the Scenes: A Large Agricultural Company

With almost 100 years of experience in creating agricultural hybrids, this client was looking for ways to optimize their processes. Working closely with Sogeti, they realized there was significant opportunity to improve leveraging cloud and analytics.  Utilizing a cloud-first approach, Sogeti built serverless applications to improve the client’s genomics processing pipeline, leveraging full DevOps and CI/CD. 

As a result, the client is now able to rapidly scale and significantly reduce cost from their previous on-premise infrastructure.  In addition, they gained tremendous speed and efficiency—by leveraging AWS native cloud technology, genomes processing has been reduced from 30 days to just one day. Sogeti came into this project with an existing relationship with this client. After this project, that relationship became stronger. In fact, AWS asked the client and Sogeti to co-present this story at the AWS re:Invent conference in 2018.
