| Business Chellenges |
| This manufacturer wanted to upgrade their outdated Enovia MatrixOne system to the latest version, V6R2009. With a time frame of just 3 months, the client also insisted upon out-of-the-box application performance improvements and Verity Indexing for quicker search. |

| Sogeti's Solutions |
| Sogeti was able to: |
| |
Compare out-of-the-box version differences within the client’s specifications. |
Analyze the possibility of eliminating any customizations to save time. |
Merge the schema and application code. |
Add several custom indices as part of the upgrade to improve performance. |

| The Sogeti team was able to execute the upgrade on top of existing applications and data, while working with the business team to identify and close gaps between V6 and current product functionality. As a part of the engagement, the client database was also upgraded to utilize performance enhancements like the new FlashDB concept. |
| |
| Results: |
| The system was successfully upgraded to V6R2009 with minimal impact to the business and its suppliers. In fact, production cutover occurred over a normal weekend. Sogeti was able to optimize performance without any major code changes, and they maintained application support from Enovia for the client. All integrations were maintained with minimal code change—Mentor Graphics, MCAD, PartMiner—and Sogeti was able to reduce the gap between the client’s customized processes and OOTB. |
