The client is part of a leading banking organizations and offers services in Retail Banking & Financial Services, Home Loans, Commercial Banking, and Card Services.

Business Challenge

The client was in need to consolidate all of its loan originations data into a singular terabyte sized Operational Data Store (LODS) / Data warehouse, and develop management accounting reporting datamarts. The goal of the data consolidation was to integrate all its legacy systems, increase the accuracy of data collection and storage, and to provide real-time visibility into its loan originations business processes.

Solution

Sogeti was selected to define, launch, and manage the enterprise PMO office for the $20 million LODS enterprise program.   • Defined the overall PMO program which directly managed 6 concurrent programs and integrated with 4 different PMO groups across the organization.
  • Defined, documented, trained, and managed the following processes: Defined, documented, trained, and managed the following processes:
    • Enterprise PMO structure governance plan, communication plan, and the program structure
    • The Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management Methodology
    • Project planning and tracking, project budgeting, financial management, and auditing policies
    • Quality processes: Issue Mgmt, Risk Mgmt, Configuration Mgmt and the Testing Methodology
  • Developed online Executive Dashboard reporting tools (EVA, Est. vs. Act Cost, Burn Rate, Capital Expenditures) Developed online Executive Dashboard reporting tools (EVA, Est. vs. Act Cost, Burn Rate, Capital Expenditures).
  • Developed an Program Management toolkit for processes, deliverables, reports, and best in industry examples. This was later adopted by the client IT groups as their internal standard for all projects in the company.

Results

Sogeti delivered the Enterprise program 1 week early, $917K under budget, and post deployment defects have all been categorized as “Minor.”
