Situation
The client, an international chemicals and industrial products company that operates in more than 70 countries and offers a wide range of products and services to markets including agriculture, nutrition, electronics, communications, safety and protection, home and construction, transportation and apparel, needed to decommission several legacy applications in order to rollout their new global ERP system. |

Solution
Sogeti designed a PMO to decommission approximately 25 of the client's legacy applications. The need to decommission these legacy applications resulted from the client's considerable investment in a global SAP system. Having executed similar engagements in the past was a strong plus for Sogeti.
"Sogeti has helped us define the approach, well in advance of our getting funding for this project, and proved to us that they were uniquely qualified to handle this complex mission," said the client IT Lead for Application Architecture.
The team is now delivering phase one of the engagement, and it is anticipated that this engagement will generate multiple pull-through work streams to support detailed planning and implementation of the PMO for client operations in other countries.
