What I like most about my job?
I enjoy knowing that I am creating value where the client needs it most. As a consultant, we have the benefit of knowing that our clients bring us on board to fulfill essential needs that require our knowledge and experience. In most cases, we have the advantage of examining a situation with a fresh set of eyes, allowing us to be objective and provide solutions that will leverage our past experiences. I enjoy the diversity in the work, people and industries.
 

What is/was my greatest professional challenge?
My greatest challenge is choosing from the vast number of methodologies and technologies on which to focus my professional growth. I am always excited about learning. As a project manager, it is important to be aware of the different options that are available in resolving a client's problems. While being knowledgeable is important, I've learned that it also important to know when to reach out to my colleagues for their expertise.
 
Secret of my success?
I would say that I have experienced success because of my work ethic. I believe in giving my best in everything that I do. I also believe that there is something to learn from every experience, whether professional or personal. I also remember to keep a sense of humor and an open mind. I give everyone that I encounter the same respect that I expect to receive.

Sogeti is a good place to work because of the people. I have worked at Sogeti for 8 years and have met and worked with many wonderful, intelligent and down to earth people that I will be able to call friends for the rest of my life. In the [ Washington ] DC unit, everyone is always willing to share their knowledge and experience with you without hesitation. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that you have support whenever you need it.
 
After work I really enjoy?
Spending time with my family. My family and I love to laugh and have fun. With an 11 year old son and a daughter in college we are always on the go. My husband and I have learned that in the grand scheme of things, happiness is very important.
