MatrixOne Global Customer Conference, Orlando, Fla. - February 4, 2004 - MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE), a leading provider of collaborative product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for the value chainT, today announced it has joined forces with Sogeti USA LLC, a premier provider of IT services, and Sun Microsystems to launch a PLM Center of Excellence in Cincinnati, Ohio. The PLM Center of Excellence (CoE) will provide Sogeti customers with a rapid development center featuring a portfolio of MatrixOne PLM solutions, Sun systems and a team of service professionals with extensive IT expertise in a variety of industries. This announcement builds on an earlier agreement by MatrixOne and Sogeti USA to deliver PLM solutions to North American product development companies.

With an emphasis on the consumer goods industry and the challenges it faces with the adoption of UCCnet technology standards that are being specified by Wal*Mart and other major retailers, the CoE will provide users with education and training on MatrixOne applications, therefore reducing time-to-value on a customer's investment and improving their ability to meet market standards and deliver their products to store shelves more quickly. The CoE will also provide customers in industries such as aerospace & defense, automotive, discrete manufacturing, medical devices and pharmaceuticals with the training, domain expertise and the proof-of-concept testing needed to assist in the success of their PLM implementations.

Through the PLM Center of Excellence, MatrixOne, Sogeti, and Sun will provide their PLM customers with one of the best delivery options available, built on practical field experience, with minimal risk and at the most competitive cost. The CoE offers customers a variety of business benefits including a pre-configured infrastructure for rapid project start-up, r educed development costs, a collaborative development environment and accelerated development tools and methodologies to achieve high-quality results fast.
