Sogeti USA Launches Software Control Testing Solution
11/21/2002

Dayton, Ohio, November 21, 2002 - Sogeti USA LLC, a premier provider of IT services, today announced the launch of its Software Control Testing (SCT) solution. SCT offers a structured and proactive approach to software testing to help organizations address mounting market pressures to develop high-quality software faster and more cost effectively, while mitigating the risks associated with insufficient software quality.

"Organizations today are struggling with the intensifying pressure to implement IT solutions that help them achieve immediate business benefits and a fast return on investment," said Dan Hannigan, SCT practice manager for Sogeti USA. "SCT is a field-tested solution that helps organizations to produce high-quality software faster and more cost effectively, detect and correct software defects quickly and accurately, accelerate time to market and, in the process, serve their customers better."

By implementing SCT, organizations can increase their ability to:

  • Reduce testing and maintenance costs
  • Reduce remediation costs due to earlier identification of problems
  • Reduce time to market
  • Gain better insight into software quality
  • Develop software faster by identifying software issues early
  • Re-use testware and expertise
  • Have less re-work and fatal errors
  • Gain more control over time, cost and quality
  • Intensify focus on core business issues
  • Automate the test process
  • Improve user satisfaction

At the heart of Sogeti's SCT solution is its world-renowned Test Management Approach (TMap®). This methodology for structured software testing, built on Sogeti's global experience and best practices, is designed to address the key issues of quality, time and cost. Flexible by design, TMap can be adapted for all types of organizations and for use in different situations, including applications developed using iterative development methodologies such as the Rational Unified Process (RUP®).

Complementing the TMap approach is Sogeti's Test Process Improvement (TPI®) model, a methodology for reviewing and improving the entire test process. Sogeti designed the SCT solution based on its global experience and best practices, and helps organizations worldwide to meet the business challenges associated with software testing.
